BUTTERCREAM CAKE CLASS
Join my hands on class and impress your family and friends with this gorgeous buttercream drip cake hand made by you!
About the Class
Classes are held in my registered studio kitchen in Flinders Park and run for 3 hours, from 6:00 - 9:00 pm, over 2 evenings. This allows us the best opportunity to learn techniques and achieve the best end results.
Adelaide Bakes is fully registered with the City of Charles Sturt Council and Insured for Public and Product Liability.
Group Classes - $285 per person (6 hours duration, held over 2 evenings)
- Maximum of 6 participants in each class
- This class is fully hands on, you will create your very own buttercream cake to take home and share with family and friends
A comprehensive recipe booklet is also provided with my favourite cake and buttercream recipes along with tips and techniques learnt on the day
What you can expect to learn:
How to prepare your cake pans for baking
Torting and filling your cake
Making and colouring Swiss meringue buttercream SMBC
Covering your cake in SMBC to create a smooth, even finish and achieve those sharp edges
Preparing fresh flowers for decoration
Stencilling your cake with buttercream
Making and securing chocolate sails and accents
Applying edible gold leaf
Finishing your cake
You will take home a fully decorated 7 inch Buttercream Cake that you have decorated during this fantastic class!
During my classes you can expect to use the highest quality ingredients including free range eggs, CSR castor sugar, premium Australian butter & Bakels Pettinice RTR fondant
What do I need to bring?
Just your enthusiasm, everything else is provided for you.
Kitchen safety and food hygiene
Please wear enclosed flat shoes to avoid slipping and in case of any spills. Please also have long hair tied back and remove any unnecessary jewelry.
